Silicates |

Vitrosilicon is a producer of sodium and potassium silicates in solid form (lumps) and in the form of water glass.
Solid silicates are produced in the plant in Żary, for sale as well as for own production of water glass. They are used in many branches of chemical industry, mainly after transforming them into water glass form.
Sodium water glass is used for production of washing powder, welding electrodes, molecular sieves, iron casting, paper additives and others.
Potassium water glass is a component of precious paints and silicate plaster and other building chemistry products. It is also used for production of welding electrodes and cleaning agents.
Silicates produced AT Vitrosilicon are characterised with very high chemical purity, controlled by us continuously in a well-equipped plant laboratory. For further development of silicates, Vitrosilicon cooperates with Inorganic Chemistry Institute in Gliwice, Inorganic Chemistry Institute in the Faculty of Chemistry at Technical University in Poznań, Glass and Ceramics Institute, Scientific Research Committee and Foundry Engineering Institute.
